How do I
place an order?
Just choose the size you require and add the item to the cart. You can view the items in your cart by clicking the "View Cart" link in the top right hand corner of the page. When you are ready to checkout click the yellow PayPal button in the bottom right hand corner of the cart. You do not need to open a PayPal account in order complete your purchase. You can use your credit card to order without becoming a member of PayPal, if you so wish. See below:
When you are ready to checkout , click the yellow PayPal button (you can use your credit card to order without becoming a PayPal member). If you don't want to sign up to PayPal click on the link that says "Don't have a PayPal account?" to place your order without becoming a PayPal member.

is shipping?
USA -
Up to 2 shirts - $5
3 shirts - $6.50
50 cents each additional shirt.
Canada -
$6 for the first T-shirt

Maximum charge of $21.
Europe and Mexico -
$9 for the first T-shirt

Rest of the world -
$10 for the first T-shirt, $5

Hoodies - $20 to ship one, or $15 when ordered with another item.
IMPORTANT: Please make sure that your shipping address is correct when placing your order! We cannot reship or refund orders that have already been shipped to incorrectly provided addresses, unless we receive them back in the mail. If you are shipping to your work address, make sure that you include your name as well as the company name.
How can I
change my shipping address?
If you have more than one address associated with your
paypal account then pay special attention when ordering
to ensure that you choose the correct shipping address.
The best way to avoid any problems is to delete any old
addresses from your paypal account. On the page immediately
before finalising your payment, the address to which your
order will be shipped is shown. There is a link which
allows you to change this address if required, as in this
example:
My
credit card is registered in one country, but I want to
ship to another - what do I do?
This situation may arise in either of these situations:
1- you are currently temporarily resident in one country
but still have a credit card from your main country of
residence, and you want the order shipped to where you
are currently residing.
2- you want to buy a shirt for someone who lives in another
country.
PayPal sometimes has a problem with orders like this because
it usually only allows you to add addresses to the country
where your credit card or bank account is located. If
you encounter a problem of this nature, please contact
us and we will usually be able to ship to the address
you specify (you will just need to email
us with the correct shipping address immediately after
ordering).
Where will
my t-shirt ship from?
Our T-shirts are shipped by Brunetto T-shirts who are based at
169 Captain Lewis Dr.,
Southington, CT 06489. Your shirts may occassionally be shipped separately on the rare occassion that we are out of stock of an item you ordered. If this happens we will notify you in advance.
How long
will it take for my T-shirt to arrive?
Usually between 3 and 10 days for US orders. Under normal
circumstances orders are processed and dispatched within
1 to 3 days. You will receive an email
indicating that your shirt has been shipped. If you have
not received this email within 5 days of ordering please
email us and we will resolve
the issue. Orders ship via USPS. If you haven't received
your order within 15 days, please email
us with the details of your order (include the transaction
ID from PayPal) and we will let you know the status of
your order. If you need your order by a specific date,
please let us know and we'll do our best to make sure
it gets there in time.
International orders take longer to arrive, European orders
will usually take between 1 and 2 weeks to arrive but
can sometimes take up to a month. Some countries may require
custom duty to be paid on goods received, we cannot accept
any responsibility for these charges, the customer is
responsible for their payment.
What countries
do you ship to?
We ship to any country where PayPal is accepted. There are 190
countries where PayPal is accepted. That means you'd be really unlucky if you can't order one of shirts!
Important note for German and French customers only. Due to delays at German and French customs for orders shipped via the regular USPS service, we are now offering 2 shipping options:
Option 1: Uninsured - this is shipping via regular USPS. With this service we are noticing delays in delivery with some orders to France and Germany (only) and consequently are unable to offer refunds or re-shipment of orders if this shipping method is chosen. Delivery estimates are not guaranteed.
Option 2: Tracked. This provides full tracking from point of departure to delivery and guarantees delivery. French and German customers are advised to select this method, especially for orders of two or more shirts.
We are not experiencing problems with delivery to any other country, so only offer the regular USPS shipping option to other countries as it is the most economical option.
European customers may find it easier and faster to order from Ban T-shirts UK.
What payment
methods do you accept?
We take payment through PayPal.
However you do not need to join PayPal to order from us.
You can pay with a Visa, MasterCard, Discover or American
Express credit card. It is also possible to pay with an
eCheck or with funding from your bank account. PayPal
offers a secure and reliable platform for online shopping.
If you create an account it can be used at many
web stores and to pay for items through Ebay. Many people
prefer to shop online using PayPal as you do not have
to give your credit card details to every store you order
from, only to PayPal.
How do I apply my discount code?
We often offer discounts to those who sign up for our mailing list. If you have one of these codes you can apply it the shopping cart. You enter the code in the area highlighted in pink below. After entering the code click the "Update cart" button:
What brand
of shirts do you use?
We use American Apparel, Royal Apparel and Organic Apparel.
These brands all produce t-shirts that are soft to the
touch, tightly woven and use 4.4oz per sq yard 100% cotton.

Where are
your t-shirts made?
They are all manufactured and printed in the USA. Because,
in spite of what some people say, we don't hate America,
we just dislike some American politicians.
Are your
shirts sweat shop free?
Yes, they are all sweat shop free. We want people to earn
a fair wage for a fair day's work. We don't want to be
involved in exploitative labour practices.
How are your
shirts printed?
All our t-shirts are silk-screen printed. Silk-screen
printing is a technique whereby each color is printed
separately onto the shirt. We print in bulk in batches
of between 12 and 100 pieces according to demand and design
popularity. Due to the set-up time involved it is not
usually practical to print one-offs. We never use iron
on transfers or similar, only silk-screens.
Are your
shirts made of organic cotton?
Some designs are printed on organic cotton shirts and
some are not. If a design is printed on a shirt made of
organic cotton then this is stated on the page about the
t-shirt. We are moving towards making most of our T-shirts
organic. They cost a dollar or two more but the benefit
for the environment, wildlife and our own health is enormous.

What type of inks do you use?
We use high quality PVC free/phthalate free plastisol inks, made in the USA by One Stroke Inks. We do not print with water-based inks as in our opinion there is no appreciable benefit to the environment in using them. Additionally water-based inks require more energy expenditure for drying post-printing. Plastisol inks are easy to store and dispose of, very little product is wasted and the most harmful ingredient usually associated with plastisol (PVC) is absent from the particular product we use.
Does Ban T-shirts use an environmentally friendly web hosting company?
Yes. Ban T-shirts is hosted with Hostgator. Hostgator's servers are 130% windpowered in Texas. The extra 30% is gained by purchasing certified renewable energy credits. For more information click here.

How do I
wash my shirt?
Wash warm (30°C/86°F), do not bleach, dry low. Note that
most t-shirts can shrink a little after their first wash.
DO NOT IRON THE PRINTED AREA! Dry at a LOW temperature.
Drying at a high temperature can cause the print to crack.
Can I exchange
my shirt if it doesn't fit?
Yes, no problem. Always email
us first with the details of your order and we will send
you instructions on how to exchange the shirt. Exchanges will incur a small reshipping charge of $5 within the US (exchanges from other countries usually incur full payment of reshipping costs). These charges do not apply if we have shipped you a shirt you did not order.
Can I get
a refund if I'm not happy with my purchase?
If you want to return your order and get a refund, you
may do so within 28 days of receiving it. The t-shirt
must obviously be returned unworn and unwashed and it must be folded and placed in an envelope measuring at least 10" by 12". If the shirt is received in a state unfit to be resold the exchange will not be accepted. Please
email us before returning the
t-shirt. We do not issue refunds or make exchanges for
t-shirts that are on "special offer" at a reduced
price. Refund of shipping costs is at our discretion.
What about
privacy issues?
All financial transactions are processed through PayPal.
Ban T-shirts does not have access to your credit card
information - this is held by PayPal. Information regarding
your name and address is held by Ban T-Shirts and the
distributor (Brunetto T-shirts or Buffalo Nickel) exclusively
for the purpose of processing your order and dealing with
any queries that may arise concerning your order. Your
details will not be passed on to any third parties for
any purpose whatsoever.
How can I

The answer is simple. We make T-shirts with messages we
believe in, we're not here to present "all sides
in the debate". This isn't just a job for us, it's
something we believe in. So if you're looking for right-wing
t-shirts or a shirt that says something offensive about
immigrants or environmentalists, click off some place
