Free Tibet T-shirt. Since its invasion in 1949,
China has claimed "ownership" of Tibet. Its colonial
relationship with Tibet has become the focus of increasing media
attention and in the run up to the Olympics more people are becoming
aware of the human rights abuses which continue to occur not only
in Tibet, but in the whole of China. Prosperity has not brought
freedom of expression to China; in fact, human rights conditions
are worsening.
So the struggle for a free Tibet goes hand in hand with the struggle
for freedom in China. Like yin and yang (the symbol of which forms
part of the Tibetan flag), a free Tibet and a free China complement
each other.
Printed on American Apparel natural undyed organic cotton t-shirts,
in men's and women's sizes.
