On June 25th and 26th 1876, in Big Horn County, Montana, the 7th Cavalry Regiment of the U.S. Army suffered a severe defeat; George Armstrong Custer was killed in the Battle of the Greasy Grass (otherwise known as Battle of the Little Bighorn). Opinions vary on Custer, but after hundreds of years of persecution, treachery and betrayal of Native Americans, you could say that Custer had it coming.
